The distributive requires post-install configuration. You can do it via direct console or web UI (available via HTTPS at your VS's main IP address). During the post-install, you will be asked to choose an administration password. This password becomes the new password for the root and admin users. Additionally, the root SSH login becomes disabled after the post-install and you should log in using the admin user. The only exception is that you may still be able to login using root from the local network or a direct console on the server. To enable root SSH login, edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config, and set 'PermitRootLogin yes' there. Then, restart the sshd service with 'systemctl restart ssh.service'. Please note that root SSH access is required by OnApp for VS management.
Check out more about SSH reconfiguration during post-install.
