Manual changes to the configuration of a load balancer cannot be supported by OnApp. OnApp will put in place the necessary configuration for the basic Load Balancing functionality offered by the OnApp UI when creating or editing a load balancer.
Additional Information
In most cases, a load balancer is built and configured on its own and the ports work. If the cluster nodes are not responding, the configuration on the backing virtual servers may need to be checked. Refer to loadbalancer.org to learn more about an ARP problem (docs: http://pdfs.loadbalancer.org/quickstartguideLBVMv7.pdf).
Please note that the default credentials for load balancers are changed upon the creation of a load balancer. Management of load balancers should is carried out through the OnApp UI.
OnApp uses exclusively Layer 4 / DR mode of the load balancer.
