Monit Does Not Monitor sshd or onapp_daemon

Issue

Monit fails with the following message:

Process 'onapp_daemon' Not monitored 
Process 'sshd' Not monitored

Resolution

Verify the checked port in /etc/monit.d/sshd.conf. It should match the port you use for access to and throughout your cloud.

If a change is required, reload the Monit configuration after setting the port:

monit reload

Cause

The sshd and OnApp services communicate through the cloud on this port. If Monit is checking in the wrong place, it will not be able to monitor these services properly.
