CloudBoot Compute Resource Misreports Number of Cores

Question

Why does a CloudBoot compute resource misreport the number of cores? For example, I have eight physical cores, but it reports only two.

Answer

There are BIOS updates that default the number of cores used per CPU and disabling the remaining CPU cores in APIC and SRAT tables. It should be resolvable by going into BIOS and allowing the remaining cores to be used.
